The 14th edition of the Seagriculture Conference EU is set to take place from June 17 to 19, at De Doelen, Netherlands
The inaugural Seagriculture World 2026 will Debut in Bangkok, Thailand, from 19 to 21 May. Industry professionals from around the world have been invited by the organization to save the date as preparations are underway for what promises to be a global gathering in the heart of one of the most dynamic seaweed-producing regions.
According to the organization, strategically located as the gateway to Asia -the world’s leading region for seaweed production– Bangkok offers the ideal setting to bring together international stakeholders for collaboration, innovation and growth across the entire seaweed value chain.
Seagriculture World 2026 will feature a comprehensive three-day program designed to engage, educate, and connect key players across the seaweed value chain.
The Merge, a Strategic Move
The organizer of the Seagriculture conferences, DLG Benelux, recently announced the merger of Seagriculture USA and Seagriculture Asia-Pacific into a single, consolidated event: Seagriculture World. This strategic move reflects the organization’s aim to simplify the seaweed industry’s event calendar, strengthen global collaboration, and support innovation around the world.
“Bringing Seagriculture World to Bangkok allows us to position the event at the heart of global seaweed activity,” said the organizing team at DLG Benelux. “Asia accounts for the majority of seaweed cultivation, making it the perfect location to host a truly international event,” they added.
A Three-Day Program Showcasing the Global Seaweed Landscape
As we mentioned, Seagriculture World 2026 will feature a comprehensive three-day program designed to engage, educate, and connect key players across the seaweed value chain. On 19 May, the participants will participate on site visits. The event opens with field visits to local seaweed operations and innovative projects, offering first-hand insights into the region’s industry and sustainability practices.
From 20 to 21 May, the Conference and Trade Show will take place. Attendees will enjoy two days of expert-led conference sessions covering scientific, commercial, and regulatory developments a vibrant trade exhibition highlighting the latest technologies, equipment, and services; poster presentations showcasing current research and breakthroughs; and structured networking events to encourage global partnerships and idea exchange.

With more than 500 participants annually, the Seagriculture conferences have grown into one of the leading global platforms for the seaweed industry. The Seagriculture conference has built up a solid reputation as the leading conference for the seaweed industry, the Seagriculture conference in Europe has been successfully organized since 2012. The 13th edition of this seaweed event took place in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands with a record number of 224 delegates from 25 countries.
Seaweed cultivation in Europe is showing promise in terms of growth, however challenges in regulations, cost, and market viability could affect the pace of this growth in the future.
