Dutch-based Royal Van Beest Group has reported its acquisition of Spain-based Sling Supply International (Slingsintt), a company dedicated to the design, manufacture, testing and certification of lifting solutions in a wide range of industries. This acquisition, the group explained, makes a significant contribution to Van Beest’s mission to be a global leader in mooring, lashing and lifting equipment for the onshore and offshore engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) industry and for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Hendrik Kok, CEO of Royal Van Beest Group, commented on this brand-new acquisition, “Sling Supply International is well known in the industry for providing exemplary lifting services and products. With the acquisition, we add a jewel of a company to our group with fantastic exposure to the high-growth market of the wind industry”.
Slingsintt’s core business is focused on the global wind industry and consists of the development of tools for lifting nacelle, hubs, towers and blades. In that sense, it is worth highlighting that the Spanish company has achieved a leading position in this market thanks to its excellence in the engineering of customized lifting equipment, in close collaboration with OEMs.
Independent management within the group
During the acquisition process, Van Beest and Sling Supply International were advised by DVAN Advocaten, BAUM Legal Tax M&A, JLCasajuana Abogados Legal Advisors and V4 Financial Partners. Sling Supply International will now be managed as an independent entity within the group and will be led by Mikel López, R&D and Commercial Director; Igor Rodríguez, Operations Director; and Eneritz Miranda Muxika, CFO.
Pedro Garitaonandia, co-founder and CEO of Sling Supply International, said, “Van Beest and Slingsintt have been great partners for four decades as supplier and customer. I couldn’t be happier that Slingsintt will continue its growth as part of the group and I foresee a bright future for the combined companies.”

Van Beest Group’s 100th anniversary
This year is Van Beest Group’s 100th anniversary. What began as a small smithy founded by Dirk van Beest in 1922 in the home port of the Dutch dredging industry in Sliedrecht, near to the Rotterdam harbors, has grown into a leading global manufacturer of lifting, lashing, and mooring fittings that operates in 90 countries and employs 180 people.
“We are extremely proud that we have been given the Royal title. This is a real milestone that four generations of the Van Beest family, who are still involved in the company up to today, have worked hard towards achieving. We are a real family business in which revenue is not the only thing that counts; social involvement and care for our employees and the environment are also important to us,” said Kok.
After this achievement, the Van Beest Group changed its name to Royal Van Beest Group and, with it, also its logo. “We carry the title Royal with pride, also because this shows customers that we are a reliable and solid company with the ambition to keep growing. We are not resting on our laurels and are increasingly collaborating with parties that facilitate the energy transition,” added Kok at the milestone.
