Skretting, Present at Aqua Expo El Oro, the Most Important Shrimp Event in the Ecuadorian Province of El Oro

Skretting was gold sponsor at the Aqua Expo El Oro 2022, event that took place at the Hotel Oro Verde, in Machala, Ecuador. In this event, Skretting presented its nutritional solutions for all stages of shrimp cultivation, the relaunch of its Skretting 360+ program and launched Deeper sonar technology, “providing technological solutions so that our clients in the shrimp industry break boundaries,” they said.

The conferences presented by Skretting this year were: Jesús Malpartida, with his topic ‘Oxygen management and aeration in shrimp farming systems’; Marita Monserrate, KAM account director, with ‘The first 30 crucial days of farming, how to achieve further growth?’; and Diva Aldama, Technical Head of Health with ‘Strategic sanitary management of emerging diseases and their importance in white shrimp crops’.

“These are key topics so that our clients can maximize the profits of their production. We also gave technical talks to our Machala’s clients where the new PM250 automatic feeder model was presented and the use of Deeper in shrimp farming was deepened,” they explained.

Also, within their stand, they offered to their customers and shrimp farmers sushi and a live cocktail show and interactive games. “We successfully closed this event, and we thank everyone who accompanied us and made it possible for us to break borders,” they assured.

A great success

The 2022 edition of Aqua Expo El Oro, organized by the National Chamber of Aquaculture (CNA) of Ecuador with the purpose of strengthening aquaculture knowledge and showcasing the best of the shrimp industry in one place, was a great success.

More than 60 Ecuadorian and foreign companies came to El Oro to show the highlights of their portfolio of products and services. In this edition there were more than 100 stands, while 14 international and local speakers addressed at the event’s congress topics of interest and importance to the aquaculture sector in various fields such as pathology, nutrition, production, management, technology and market.

Aqua Expo is the most important shrimp technical and commercial event on the continent and has been held for more than 20 years in Ecuador thanks to the organization of the CNA, with the main objective of promoting knowledge and innovation in the aquaculture community on a global scale.

José Antonio Camposano, head of the CNA, presided over the inaugural event and with a powerful speech highlighted the spirit and work of all shrimp farmers, which has taken them so far. “The shrimp sector has shown that, despite all adversity, it has always responded in the same way: with more work, with innovation, with a clear orientation towards the search for solutions with the sole objective of achieving better results without waiting for things to come on their own, because never in its history has anyone given us anything; on the contrary, the shrimp sector has achieved the position it occupies today by creating its own path as it goes along”.
