Benchmark, the aquaculture genetics, health, and advanced nutrition business today announced the official launch of Benchmark Animal Health Chile (BAHC).

The establishment of BAHC follows the launch of Benchmark Genetics in Chile in 2018 and represents a strategic move into the world’s second-largest salmon market.
The new company, located in Puerto Varas, will be led by General Manager Javier Moya. BAHC will distribute all Benchmark products in the region, as well as provide technical support to salmon producers. This includes the sale and distribution of Purisan®, Benchmark’s current sea lice treatment.

Benchmark has recently divested Fish Vet Group to focus its efforts on core strengths in genetics, health, and advanced nutrition in order to develop innovative products that improve yield, quality, health and welfare for its customers. The streamlining of the company will speed up the delivery of much-needed solutions to the market including its next-generation sea lice treatment, BMK08, and the new purification system CleanTreat ® .
