Recently the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China announced anti-dumping investigations concerning the import of the essential amino acid and feed additive methionine from Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore.

The period under consideration for possible dumping is for the calendar year 2018. In addition, it will also be analyzed whether the domestic industry suffered losses in the calendar years 2016 to 2018 in this context. The investigation is said to be completed by April 10, 2020.
